Meet Mike Franklin

Mike and Amanda moved to Jordan in 2011 to raise their family, which then consisted of “only” Mike, Amanda and daughter Anna (now 14). They’ve since added Peter (12), David (9) and Jacob (6), and Labrador extraordinaire, Goldy (1).

Mike Franklin for Jordan Mayor
Mike served from 2014-18 on the Jordan City Council. During that time, Mike led or co-led several important initiatives and projects, including our 169/282 interchange, Jordan’s transition to Solar energy via “community solar,” adoption of GreenSteps Cities protocols, a digital marketing effort and a website overhaul.
Mike, Amanda and family are active parishioners at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where Mike has served as lector and family formation instructor.
Mike and his business partners own Weber Johnson Public Affairs, a St. Paul-based public affairs firm. The firm helps its clients navigate complex issues to a satisfactory result.
A 2011 graduate of William Mitchell College of Law. Mike remains a licensed Minnesota attorney. Probably don’t ask him for legal advice, but he can certainly do his best to explain how various statutes, ordinances and rules affect individuals, families and businesses.

Mike (and especially Amanda) are unreconstructed Golden Gopher Football fanatics, and P.J. Fleck Defenders.

Mike was a 2017 “40 under 40” Honoree by the Twin Cities Business Journal.
